MEET THE AUTHOR
Kelleigh Greene, MSc, MA, is a PhD student at The Open University on a NERC CENTA-funded studentship.

I started my CENTA PhD project on bee orchid pollination strategies at The Open University school of Environment, Earth and Ecosystems in October 2017. My research interests lie in ecology, and particularly in entomology and plant-insect interactions. My video entry was awarded a Highly Commended prize in the 2017 FindAPhD scholarship competition. The fieldwork for this project is also partially supported by grants from the Wild Flower Society and The Alice McCosh Trust.

I graduated with an MSc in Entomology from Harper Adams University in 2015, and was awarded the Royal Entomological Society 2015 student prize for academic achievement. I was funded on this course through an RES scholarship, and grants from the Chadacre Agricultural Trust, The Ruby and Will George Trust, and The Humanitarian Trust.

In 2011 I graduated from the University of Cambridge with a BA in Natural Sciences (Zoology), and in 2015 was awarded an MA. I have worked as a Project Officer arranging Erasmus+ placements for City of Wolverhampton College, and in this role I secured a new £300k contract for 2017-2019. My work has also included research and development in the mosquito team at Oxitec Ltd.
